BretonSmartCam EVOLUTION: Software CAD/CAM of cutting centres with 3 interpolated axes

BretonSmartCam EVOLUTION is a CAD/CAM software to draw and program complex stone workpieces, for cutting centres with three interpolated axes.
The CAM module allows to carry out the following major functions:
- cutting of slabs with saw blade
 - profiling, rough-hewing and trimming with saw blade.
- exterior/interior shaping of small blocks with saw blade.
- hole drilling.

If paired with the "BretonLathe" optional module, the software also allows to grind a twisted groove on columns generated by the revolution of a 2D profile and finish them, using a saw blade.

The CAD module allows to carry out the following major functions:
- generation of 2D drawings with relevant dimensions.
- determination of the 3D working volume of the piece.
- determination of any working plane inside the generated 3D volume.
- management of a 2D drawing created on the selected working plane, no matter how it is oriented in the space.
- import of drawings in DXF and DWG format from external CAD or template detectors.
- positioning of the pieces to be produced directly on the image of the slab, so as to utilize its surface to the full.
- automatic programming and display of the vacuum cup arrangement on the worktable.
- interface with the software of a possible laser projector for arranging the vacuum cups on the worktable.
- interface with the software of a possible bas-relief digitizer.

- generation of 3D models of the pieces.
- import of surfaces and solid models in IGES, STL, STEP and 3DM format.
- generation of surfaces and bas-reliefs from image processing.
- generation of 2D drawings of vanity and kitchen tops, whose dimensions are set starting from a basic template.

The 3D SOLID SIMULATION module allows:
- to check any possible tool-piece and/or tool-machine collision
- to calculate the raw material remaining after the machining
The software operates in a Windows environment, is intuitive and user-friendly.
N.B. The software features may be limited by the technological and operational features of the machine.

BretonSmartCam MILL: Software CAD/CAM of shaping centres with 3 interpolated axes

BretonSmartCam MILL is a CAD/CAM software to draw and program complex stone work-pieces, for shaping centres with three interpolated axes.
The CAM module allows to carry out the following major functions:
- cutting and shaping with saw blade
- shaping, profiling, hole drilling, milling and hollowing out with millers or shaped tools
 - polishing of tops (even inclined tops)
- 3D engraving of Windows "True Type" fonts on flat horizontal or vertical surfaces
- bas-reliefs imported from digitized surfaces.

Breton ContourFive NC 700

ContourFive 700 is a CNC shaping, contouring, cutting and turning centre with five inter-polated axes and a fixed worktable, that offers the users the possibility of performing mul-tiple and complex machining operations which would otherwise require several machines:

- sawing of slabs and small blocks into workpieces utilising the saw blade

- shaping of either large or small blocks utilising the saw blade to get large pieces with complex shape, such as capitals, banisters, tanks, fireplace components, etc.

- shaping and dishing out utilising millers to get shower trays, sinks, vases, bas-reliefs, engravings, etc.

- contouring utilising shaped tools to produce statues, kitchen tops, tombstones, compo-nents for funerary art, etc.

- turning of columns with shaped profiles or machining of columns to create a twisted ef-fect all along the surface.

ContourFive NC 700 stands out thanks to its performances:
- mobile bridge structure enabling an excellent access to the worktop
- short beam ensuring top rigidity
- "rapid" movements of up to 40 metres/minute
- high-frequency spindle with 20 kW and 14.500 rpm, which can be turned in the space along the 5 axes and controls automatically a saw blade with max. diameter of 400 mm
- max. diameter of the saw blade: 400 mm
- "C" axis rotation: ± 200°
- "A" axis rotation: from 0° to +115°
- "X" axis travel: 3.700 mm
- "Y" axis travel: 2.800 mm
- "Z" axis travel: 700 mm
- possibility of working with saw blades, shaped tools, drills, millers, etc.
- mobile carrousel-type tool-store with 27 cells + 1 (optional) cell for the saw blade
- lathe (optional) for machining both columns and capitals
