Breton Contourfive turns a Corinthian column

Good morning,

Today I’d like to show you a small Corinthian column realized with our machining centre Breton Contourfive with 5 axes, equipped with a lathe.

As you can see, most of the work has been carried out by the disk while the diamond tool executed grooves and inlays.

When equipped with the lathe, Contourfive becomes a real production centre, ideal for architectural elements, funerary art and machining operations that require a deep pocketing, all this taking up a minimal amount of space as you can see here under:

The first Shapemill NCF 1600 K55 installed in the USA

Hello everybody,

Today I’d like to talk about the first Shapemill NCF 1600 K55 installed in the USA, purchased by Keystone Memorials Inc. in Elberton, GA 30635.

Keystone Memorials Inc. is a company whose core business is the production of monuments and mausoleums.

The version of Shapemill machining centre for natural stone purchased by Keystone Memorials is the K55, the largest machining centre Breton ever produced since it makes it possible to process a block of 4.500x3.000x1.500mm in height (177.2x118.1x59.1”).

Its working travels are the following:
X-axis = 4.000mm (157.5”)
Y-axis = 5.500mm (216.5”)
Z-axis = 1.600mm (63”)The A-axis rotates from 0° to +115° and the C-axis rotates at ±200°.

Shapemill spindle releases a power of 36 kW at 6.000 rpm.

The Cartesian axes have the following advance speeds:
X-axis = 0÷40 m/min (0÷1,574 ipm)
Y-axis = 0÷40 m/min (0÷1,574 ipm)
Z-axis = 0÷30 m/min (0÷1,181 ipm)The A- and C-axis rotation speed is 12 rpm.

Shapemill 1600 machining centre can hold a disk with maximum diameter of 1.000mm (39.4”).

The tool magazine has 27 cells and the maximum length of the tool is 450mm (17.7”)

Keystone Memorials’ Shapemill is also equipped with a lathe enabling to produce columns and twisted effect details with dimensions of ø 1.080/1.600 x3.200mm in length (ø 42.5/62.3 x126”).

The overall dimensions of Breton machining centre are the following: 8.500x7.850x6.500mm in height (334.6x309.1x255.9”).

As you can see in the picture above, Shapemill began producing as soon as it was installed.

The Breton bridge saw Smart-Cut 1000 produced a copy of the White house Oval Office fireplace

Hello everyone,
Today I want to talk about a unique and prestigious accomplishment that makes me very happy.
L’The former U.S. President George W. Bush built the Presidential Library and Museum on the campus of the Southern Methodist University, in Dallas. The Presidential library and museum preserve and provide access to Presidential records and documents about the eight years he spent in the White House.

The Presidential Library and Museum inauguration took place at the end of April and on that occasion the main attraction was a full-sized White House Oval Office.

The latest 5 U.S. presidents still alive attended the inauguration: Obama, Bush Jr., Clinton, Bush Sr. and Carter.

But let’s go straight to the point. In the White House Oval office there is a beautiful white marble fireplace. Our customer - RUGO STONE - 7953 Angleton Ct, Lorton, VA 22079, USA – made a copy of the fireplace by utilizing Breton bridge saw, the Smart-Cut 1000.
Below there are few fireplace pieces during their process manufacturing and as finished products.

Two marble hands produced by Breton Shapemill 5-axes machining centre

Good morning,
Today I’d like to show you something new: although small, this sculpture involves a quite complex machining.
It represents two joined hands and is produced by Breton Shapemill 5-axes machining centre.
The 5-axes machine roughly shapes the piece with the disk.

Here is the result.

Now Shapemill starts to finish the piece with the tool.

Once the machining operations are completed, it’s the operator’s turn to finish off the piece.

The amazing performances of Breton Shapemill machining centre for marble and granite will never stop surprising me.
Indeed, I could become a serious competitor to Michelangelo with a 5-axes CNC machining centre of this type! ;-)
