Casa Del Caminetto was established in 1980 by the brothers Bernardino and Giovanni Costenaro in Cinto Caomaggiore, a town in the Province of Venice; in those days, the company employed 5 workers and its core business was the production of fireplaces that were commissioned especially by a major producer of the area.

Today, after more than 30 years, the company employs 32 workers and has two production plants (the original premises in Cinto Caomaggiore and the second production plant - Fuoco Arredo –in the surrounding area) and a show room in Gruaro, another town in the Province of Venice.

The company works a vast array of top quality marbles, granites and engineered stones and, thanks to most advanced technologies teamed up with the experience of marble masons and master craftsmen, has the ability to perform from the simplest to the most complex type of machining, including inlays for customizing fireplaces and kitchen tops. The in-house technical department works closely with architects and experts in Italy and abroad, dealing directly with the turnkey execution of the projects.

Breton Smart-Cut 550 OPTIMA with belt work-bench

Hello,
Let me introduce myself, I am Smart-cut S/NC 550 OPTIMA, a Breton newborn bridge saw with a very long and important name: let me show you what I can do.
Sergio is not in today, he is discussing about the latest software updates with the operator who follows me: he will shortly give you an exhaustive report about this. 
As you can see, I manage to do nearly everything by myself, so let’s start working right away!

1 - the operator placed a slab on the tilting roller conveyor and went away.

2 -I lower the slab and move it to the line

3 - now I must take a photo of the slab: CHEESE

 

4 -see how the slab is approaching my bench

5 - well, it’s my turn now: let’s start cutting.

6 -I’m really clever (I also shift the pieces once they are cut)

7 - and precise … Breton was really good at programming me.

8 - I can lift and move weights up to 400 kg, you know?

9 - That’s it! I’ve cut the slab into pieces as instructed.

10 - pieces are leaving my bench now

11 - and are ready to be unloaded

Not bad for a bridge saw, isn’t it?

Good morning,
After some posts dealing with our Shapemill (a very nice machine indeed), today I’d like to show you another ground-breaking Breton machining centre.
It is the Smart-Cut S/NC 1000 Optima, a bridge saw with twist head and vacuum cups.
Look at it while it turns a small marble column for a staircase.
