Breton Smart-Cut 550 OPTIMA with belt work-bench

Hello,
Let me introduce myself, I am Smart-cut S/NC 550 OPTIMA, a Breton newborn bridge saw with a very long and important name: let me show you what I can do.
Sergio is not in today, he is discussing about the latest software updates with the operator who follows me: he will shortly give you an exhaustive report about this
As you can see, I manage to do nearly everything by myself, so let’s start working right away!

All'opera allora!
1 - the operator placed a slab on the tilting roller conveyor and went away.
2 -I lower the slab and move it to the line
3 - now I must take a photo of the slab: CHEESE

4 -see how the slab is approaching my bench
5 - well, it’s my turn now: let’s start cutting.
6 -I’m really clever (I also shift the pieces once they are cut)
7 - and precise … Breton was really good at programming me.
8 - I can lift and move weights up to 400 kg, you know?
9 - That’s it! I’ve cut the slab into pieces as instructed.
10 - pieces are leaving my bench now
11 - and are ready to be unloaded
Not bad for a bridge saw, isn’t it?
As someone else says: … well, that’s all for today.
I was forgetting something important: click here for more INFO.

Waterjet CLASSICA 5 axis

Hello everybody,
Today I’d like to talk again about Waterjet machines
.These videos showing the machining of two pieces forming a marble chandelier will make you realize how great the potential of Waterjet CLASSICA with 5-axes head is.

The way how it works on curved surfaces is simply amazing!
Thanks to its 450° rotation around the “C” axis and ±69° inclination on the “A” axis, the Waterjet cutting head with 5 interpolated axes perfectly follows the surface of the piece to be cut.

WATERJET CLASSICA
Numerical control, 3-axes water jet saw to cut marble, granite and compound stone.

Details
- The movement accuracy of each single machine is tested and checked through laser and Renishaw ball bar test.
- The walls of the tank are made of stainless steel, while its bottom consists of a steel plate 8 mm thick.
- The axes movements are through hardened helical racks and pinions (Alpha Wittestein, Germany) and linear slideways with preloaded bearings (Bosch Rexroth).

Accessories
- Another optional outfit is the I.T.C.™ system that corrects the natural tapering of the cut by compensating the high pressure water jet through the Numerical Control. The I.T.C.™ system guarantees the realization of top quality products. When the compensation of the I.T.C.™ system is running, the water jet is also directed against the advance direction so as to minimize the so-called “tail effect”, thus reducing the acceleration and deceleration ramps near the corners for a faster and more economical cutting cycle.
- The optional KMT Streamline PRO 2-60-ISO pump with a maximum pressure of 6200 bar can be supplied as an alternative to the KMT Streamline pump of 4.130 bar. With 6200 bar, other conditions being equal, the cutting speed increases remarkably and the cutting cost per linear metre is cut down.

- Head with 5 interpolated axes for  inclined cutting required,  for instance, to obtain the 45° grooves. C axis with 450° rotation and A axis with +/- 69° inclination. This device can be equipped  with ITC system for automatic  jet tapering compensation and  with continuous rotation.

Waterjet CLASSICA is available in 3 models:

Model
Useful working travels (mm)
CLASSICA CL 510
3.400x1.600x180
CLASSICA CL 610
3.400x2.000x180
CLASSICA CL 612
4.000x2.000x180
Well, that’s all for today.

NEW Combicut DJ/NC with 3 or 5 axes

Breton COMBICUT DJ/NC
Numerical control cutting centre with 3 or 5 axes, equipped with a diamond disk cutting unit and a Waterjet cutting unit.
(Combicut 5 axis)
Numerical control cutting centre with 3 or 5 axes and spindle rotating around its axis, holding a diamond disk inclinable from 0° to 90° and a Waterjet unit.
COMBICUT combines and alternates the cutting with diamond disk and Waterjet according to preset programs and/or at will: this allows to optimize cuts thus ensuring waste minimization (there is no need to move the slab or workpieces). It is also possible to perform rectilinear and complex, curvilinear cuts.
The control console is mounted on a suspended structure, is easy to operate and can be moved inside the working area.
Combicut conforms to the CE accident-prevention and UL/CSA North-American standards (optional).

B E N E F I T S
- one single machine instead of two
- budget-friendly
- reduced encumbrance
- rapid machining time
- workpieces do not move and are directly transferred to the profiling machine for being finished
- the slab is turned into finished pieces in just two passages!
http://www.leadership.ng/nga/sites/default/files/articleimages/us_dollars.jpg Version without foundations
In the standard version of the machine, cement shoulders are provided by the buyer. On request (optional accessory), COMBICUT can be supplied with shoulders consisting of metal structures, which do not require foundations and are simply fixed to the floor.
Version with automatic system for worktop exchange
COMBICUT
comes standard with a fixed worktop consisting of a steel tray (with "gradually deteriorating" blades) that supports the slab during machining
.
On request (optional accessory), COMBICUT can be supplied with a system for the automatic exchange of worktops that steps up productivity: the uncut slab and its cutting scheme are prearranged outside the machine while COMBICUT is cutting another slab, then the two worktops are swapped automatically thus saving time.

Heavy-duty cutting spindle
The suitably dimensioned cutting spindle is provided with inverter for the non-stop variation of the disk rotation speed, and cut-tracing laser that displays the cutting direction.

Diamond disk rotating around its axis
The cutting spindle rotates around its axis by ±190°, thus giving competitive ad-vantages: an unrivalled cutting precision and speed and a small-sized machine.

Motorized and programmed inclination of the diamond disk
The disk inclination is automatic, motorized and can be programmed in any posi-tion from 0° to 90° in order to perform inclined cuts both in the plunge-cut and step-cute mode.

Top brand Waterjet system
The Waterjet pump system is supplied by KMT/Waterjet Systems that will also pro-vide the buyer/user with the international guarantee service on the Waterjet cutting system.

COMBICUT DJ/NC with 3-axes Waterjet cutting head
COMBICUT comes standard with a Waterjet cutting head with 3 interpolated axes to carry out straight and curvilinear cuts.

COMBICUT DJ/NC with 5-axes Waterjet cutting head
On request, COMBICUT is supplied with a Waterjet cutting head with 5 interpolated axes to carry out inclined cuts which may be required, for instance, to cut 45° V-grooves.
"C" axis with non-stop rotation and "A" axis with ±69° inclination.

The head is provided with a special function (ITC) for the continuous, automatic compensation of the jet tapering.
The head is also provided with an automatic gauge measuring the slab thickness, therefore it possible to produce borders with precise dimensions.

User-friendly
COMBICUT is equipped with a latest generation Siemens Sinumerik 840D SL com-puter numerical control (CNC) with digital control on PC architecture and a Per-sonal Computer with Intel processor and Windows XP operating system.
The control board can be rotated and is provided with keyboard, colour touch-screen for graphic visualization and USB port.

A portable button panel, cable-linked to the console, duplicates the main controls (management of the axes + handwheel, safety stop, …), thus enabling the opera-tor to stand nearby the piece under machining and visually inspect the correct execution of some delicate operations.
The console is provided with a joystick to move intuitively the motorized working axes. The standard software enables the following operations:
– to draw the polygonal and curvilinear pieces to be produced directly on the ma-chine
– to import the pieces to be produced (even with a curvilinear shape) in DXF for-mat
– to arrange the pieces to be produced on a template having a predefined rectan-gular shape (on the video)
– to manage automatically the combined "diamond disk/Waterjet" cutting accord-ing to both the pieces to be produced and their position on the slab.

Software for order optimization and management

COMBICUT suggests the arrangement of the pieces to be cut on the slab surface according to the pending orders loaded in the system, thus optimizing automatically the slab surface utilization.
Digital colour photos of the slab
Combicut can be supplied with an (optional) system including a digital camera that acquires the true colour image of the uncut slab and displays it on the touch-screen of the machine PC (or other PC).
The operator marks the slab outline and the contour of any possible surface defect with the mouse and Combicut automatically arranges the pieces to be cut on the slab surface thus optimizing its useful area.

All the various operations (digital reproduction of the uncut slab image, definition of the slab perimeter and defects and optimization) are carried out while the machine is processing the preceding slab.
Write to mail@breton.it to get additional information and purchase the bridge saw Breton COMBICUT.
