Replacement spindle clamp
1 – Removing clamp cone
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1 – Unscrew and remove cone on clamp
2 - Removing clamp gripper fingers
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1 – Using your hands remove each gripper finger .
2 – To remove the last gripper finger using the T-hex wrench press the gripper finger holder.
3 - Removing gripper finger holder assembly
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1 –With the aid of long nose pliers remove the gripper finger holder.
4 - Cleaning
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1- Spray the clamp cavity in the spindle.
2 – Wrap a clean rag or paper cloth around a screwdriver and clean the cavity.
5 - Replacing gripper finger holder assembly
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1 – Grease the seats for gripper fingers.
2 – With the aid of long nose pliers replace the gripper finger holder in its seat and with a T-hex wrench make sure it is level.
6 - Replacing clamp gripper fingers
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1 – Grease all the parts of the gripper fingers that come into contact with the holder.
2- Remount the gripper fingers one by one. When mounting the first gripper finger if necessary with the aid of T wrench press the holder until the gripper finger is in its correct position.
7 - Replacing clamp cone
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1 – Grease the cylinder and screw onto the clamp cone.
2 – Grease the smaller external diameter of the clamp.
3 – Screw the clamp cone onto the rod of the internal tie-rod.
8 - Measurement control
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
1 – Measure the distance between the cone and the base of the spindle.
2 – Unscrew / screw the clamp cone until reaching a distance of 10.50mm.
3 – Once obtained this measurement secure the cylinder to the clamp cone.
